About the Teacher
Welcome back to another exciting school year! I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself since I will be your student's teacher this upcoming school year. My name is Maggie McCorkle and this will be my 2nd year teaching at Sinagua Middle School. I have spent the first 5 years of my career teaching Earth and Space Science, Physical Geology, and Pre-Biology courses at Page High School in Page, Arizona. I graduated from Northern Arizona University with my BSED in Earth Science in the spring of 2013 and I am excited to be back in the beautiful city of Flagstaff. I am eager to work with younger students because they have an ambition to learn and discuss big ideas while maintaining the fun and creative side of education.
Throughout the school year, your student will be learning about the world around us, how to work with other students in problem-solving activities, and exploring the importance of science in everyday life; all while being in a safe and productive learning environment!
I look forward to this year and I am happy to be a part of the Sinagua Middle School family once again.
Best,
Ms. McCorkle
